About Meningitis ACWY
Saudi Arabia will not issue a pilgrim visa without proof of a quadrivalent ACWY vaccine given at least ten days before arrival and within the last three to five years, depending on the product used.
Outside pilgrimage, the vaccine matters most in the meningitis belt stretching from Senegal to Ethiopia, where dry-season outbreaks are common.
