About Rabies
Dogs cause most human rabies, but monkeys and bats matter too, a lick on broken skin is enough. Cyclists, runners and children are bitten most often because they are at the animals' level.
Pre-exposure vaccination does not mean you can skip treatment after a bite. It means you need two follow-up doses instead of a scramble for rabies immunoglobulin, which is frequently unavailable outside major cities.
The accelerated schedule fits into a single week, so late bookings still work.

Who needs it
- Long stays or rural travel in Asia, Africa and Latin America
- Cyclists, backpackers, runners and anyone camping or trekking
- Children, who are less likely to report a lick or minor scratch
- Vets, animal handlers and volunteers working with wildlife
- Wash any bite or scratch with soap and running water for 15 minutes, then seek medical care the same day.
- Even vaccinated travellers need post-exposure doses after a bite.
